Increase in Companies House Fees – 1 May 2024

Companies House are increasing a range of their fees with effect from 1 May 2024.

The increased fees have been introduced to assist with funding the exercise by Companies House of its enhanced powers of investigation and enforcement given by the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023, as discussed in our previous article.

Most of the increases are relatively modest, however there are some fees which are increasing by more than double:

• Incorporating a company online – from £12 to £50
• Same-day incorporation of a company – from £30 to £78
• Confirmation statement – from £13 to £34
• Same-day change of company name – from £30 to £83
• Same-day reduction of share capital – from £50 to £136
