Education Breakfast Briefing: Managing the top 5 sector reputational risks

May 2 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am

The wider team at Rollits will be sharing their knowledge and experience to support sector leaders to avoid the pitfalls in areas such as GDPR, Contract Management, Employment Conflict and Land and Lease challenges.

These are common challenges and concerns that sector leaders constantly face which can have huge detrimental impact on an organisations reputation and where legal guidance and support are often needed.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Gender questioning children – The consultation on the draft non statutory guidance in relation to gender questioning children has now closed.  What does this mean for schools and colleges and what steps, if any, should you be taking now to minimise the risk of complaints or claims from students and parents?
  • Employment  – exploring the boundaries between professional and personal conduct. What steps can schools and colleges take to manage personal conduct?
  • Governance update – best practice and avoiding common pitfalls
  • Data Subject Rights – Practical tips on how to deal with tricky data subject requests such as subject access requests and ‘requests to be forgotten’.
  • Contracts – Considering common pitfalls and points to be aware of when entering into commercial contracts, and potential ways of addressing those issues proactively to reduce the chance of disputes arising in the future.

Our target audience is sector leaders, COO, CFO, Trustees and Governors.
