Libby has a practical and friendly approach to advising clients and offers clear, specialist and concise advice. She loves working in planning and development as it is a challenging and dynamic area with frequent changes to law and policy to keep up to speed with.

She particularly enjoys the practical side of the role of “walking the boundaries” of potential development sites, attending meetings and visiting sites once developed and appreciates being a specialist in a sector where she gets out and about.

Career

Hull born and bred, Libby stayed in Hull to complete her law degree at Hull University, undertaking work experience with the firm as far back as 2010 when she was an undergrad. She qualified into the planning and development team in 2014 after completing her two year training contract at Rollits. Progressing quickly through the firm, Libby was admitted to the Partnership in May 2022.

Expertise

Libby has over eight years’ experience acting for local developers, landowners, educational institutions and agricultural landowners advising on planning law, planning and infrastructure agreements, acquisitions of sites for development and general property matters.

She works on planning and development matters including advising on planning applications, objections and planning law, buying and selling land for development, drafting infrastructure agreements and development agreements. Libby also deals with the estate set up and subsequent plot sales for developers on development sites.
