Charity Commission Update on Safeguarding Guidance
The Charity Commission has recently updated its guidance for
charity trustees on their duties to promote the welfare of children
and young people and to protect them from harm, 'Safeguarding
Children and Young People'.
The changes include a revised introduction outlining the duties
of charities' trustees and there is also an update of the
Commission's regulatory role and the information on the disclosure
and barring service.
There is also a new section on charities working directly with
children abroad.
Please contact Sarah Greendale or Gerry Morrison for more information.
