Compliance Officer

David is member of the firm’s Operations Team  which focuses on all operational matters including risk management, and he handles compliance within this team. This includes the coordination of the Lexcel accreditation process, complaints, GDPR and risk management.

He is responsible for monitoring the firm’s compliance with regulations and internal policies to ensure they are up to date with the relevant laws as well as educating partners and staff on compliance regulations and the impact of non-compliance.

David enjoys the varied nature of the role and the ability to contribute to Rollits’ success by maintaining existing or achieving new accreditations.


A qualified solicitor, David worked for a leading Newcastle based personal injury firm for almost 20 years, running a caseload of disputed liability and alleged fraud RTA and employer/public liability cases. He moved into an IT development manager role in 2016 to facilitate the implementation of efficiency measures within their case management system and became compliance officer of the firm’s medical agency in 2018, handling compliance with MOJ guidelines, complaints, data protection matters and medical expert panel management.
