Rollits Partners recognised as Leaders in their Field

Eight Partners from Rollits have been named as "leaders in their field" in the latest edition of Chambers UK - the definitive guide to law firms in the UK.

The firm was also praised for the depth and variety of services it offers to clients and received rankings in nine different areas of law within the publication, four of which were "top-tier" rankings for Corporate/M&A; Litigation; Real Estate and Social Housing.

For more than twenty years, Chambers has published their directory of the legal profession identifying the leading lawyers and law firms in the UK through independent and objective interviews with thousands of lawyers and their clients.

Those singled out for praise in this year's directory are:

John Lane who heads the firm's private capital department.  John received a top ranking for his work in the private client arena and the publication highlights "He's extremely balanced and experienced - that's what you want in a family solicitor. He tells you the bad news as well as the good and you know you can rely on him."

George Coyle and Ralph Gilbert were both acclaimed for their work in litigation.  Noted as key individuals, Chambers states "Ralph Gilbert is highly regarded by peers and described as "immensely practical, very realistic and excellent for commercial work." He focuses his practice on property litigation and corporate recovery work. Head of department George Coyle has a solid reputation in the region and particular experience dealing with shareholder and partnership disputes, contractual matters and product liability claims.

Rollits dispute resolution team are also described as "A very professional group with a wealth of knowledge. They have specialist departments so they can cover all aspects of the legal matters we need."

Senior Partner Steve Trynka is applauded for his experience in corporate matters and is described as "experienced, direct and aggressive."

Managing Partner Richard Field is praised for being "particularly active within the education and charities market space." Described as "very intelligent and very industrious" clients "have great faith in his knowledge and judgement."

The directory goes on to say that Rollits Corporate team "have highly competent partners and juniors, and have the ability to deliver the service that could be expected from a major national practice."

Neil Franklin was recommended for his work in the agricultural sector. Chambers highlights that Rollits' agricultural team is known as "an up-to-date firm that gives good client service."

Employment lawyer Ed Jenneson is described as having "excellent communication skills and knowledge, and the ability to put clients at ease."

Clients also praised the employment team for its "Their knowledge of our business and our long-term objective coupled with their good understanding of the industry sector in which we operate is what sets them apart from being just a law firm." and "They are fantastic with client service. They don't just see us as clients but as partners."

A top ranking was also given to Keith Benton for his work in Information Technology with the recommendation that clients describe him as "very thorough, timely, efficient and helpful."

Within the Social Housing category, Rollits is the only firm in the York, Hull and surrounding areas to be recommended as a leading law firm and are praised for being "a proactive team.They push the other side, and tell me when the other side is delaying; I never need to chase them up."

Elsewhere in the guide, the firm was also ranked in the fields of Banking and Finance - "A very experienced, stable and mature team, with a wide remit and knowledge base." and Construction - "The team is very switched-on and efficient."
