Rollits lawyers win personal recognition as Leaders in their Field

Eight lawyers from Rollitshave been named as "leaders in their field" in the latest editionof Chambers UK - the definitive guide to law firms in theUK.

The firm was also praised forthe depth and variety of services it offers to clients and receivedrankings in 16 different areas within the publication.

For more than twenty years,Chambers has published their directory of the legal professionidentifying the leading lawyers and law firms in the UK throughindependent and objective interviews with thousands of lawyers andtheir clients.

Those singled out for praisein this year's directory are:

John Lane whoheads the firm's private capital department. John received atop ranking for his work in the private client arena and thepublication highlights "Peers and clients alike consider JohnLane to be an "incredible" practitioner. He deals with probate,trust, estate and tax matters."

George Coyleand Ralph Gilbert were both acclaimed for theirwork in dispute resolution. Noted as key individuals,Chambers states "George Coyle's practice is split betweenregulatory and environmental disputes on the one hand and a rangeof commercial and corporate matters on the other. Clients praisehim as a "highly thorough" negotiator who copes extremely well indifficult situations" and "Ralph Gilbert's reputation forhandling highly technical cases precedes him. A general commerciallitigator, he has recently begun practising as an accreditedmediator as well."

Rollits dispute resolutionteam are also described as the "top-quality Hullfirm" and sources are full of praise for the team's"clever and creative lawyers."

Senior Partner SteveTrynka is applauded for his experience in corporatematters involving the food industry with clients praising himfor his "direct and mature approach".

The directory goes on to saythat "With offices in Hull and York this "solid and reliable"firm has continued to advise clients on sizeable transactionsincluding the acquisition of Hull City FC …"

Neil Franklinwas recommended for his work in the agricultural sector and isconsidered to be "great with detail." Chambershighlights that Rollits' five-strong agricultural team is known for"providing solutions to the queries clients have. They reallyhave the bases covered."

Employment lawyer EdJenneson is singled out as an "Associate to watch". Thedirectory says that he has a"keenappreciation of the business environment, good advocacy skills andis knowledgeable on employment."

The directory also praises theemployment team for its "professionalism and personalservice." and notes that Clients value theteam's "expertise, its understanding of businessand its pragmatism."

Top rankings were also givento Keith Benton for his work in InformationTechnology as well as Douglas Oliver for SocialHousing.

Within the Social Housingcategory, Rollits is the only firm in the York, Hull andsurrounding areas to be recommended as a leading lawfirm.

Elsewhere in the guide, thefirm was ranked top in the region in the fields of Banking andFinance, Corporate & M&A, Dispute Resolution and RealEstate, as well as receiving praise for its Agriculture, Employmentand Private Client work undertaken.
