Rollits lawyers win personal recognition as Leaders in their Field

Eight lawyers from Rollits have been named as "leaders in their field" in the latest edition of Chambers UK - the definitive guide to law firms in the UK.

The firm was also praised for the depth and variety of services it offers to clients and received rankings in 16 different areas within the publication.

For more than twenty years, Chambers has published their directory of the legal profession identifying the leading lawyers and law firms in the UK through independent and objective interviews with thousands of lawyers and their clients.

Those singled out for praise in this year's directory are:

John Lane who heads the firm's private capital department.  John received a top ranking for his work in the private client arena and  the publication highlights "Peers and clients alike consider John Lane to be an "incredible" practitioner. He deals with probate, trust, estate and tax matters."

George Coyle and Ralph Gilbert were both acclaimed for their work in dispute resolution.  Noted as key individuals, Chambers states "George Coyle's practice is split between regulatory and environmental disputes on the one hand and a range of commercial and corporate matters on the other. Clients praise him as a "highly thorough" negotiator who copes extremely well in difficult situations" and "Ralph Gilbert's reputation for handling highly technical cases precedes him. A general commercial litigator, he has recently begun practising as an accredited mediator as well." 

Rollits dispute resolution team are also described as the "top-quality Hull firm"  and sources are full of praise for the team's "clever and creative lawyers."

Senior Partner Steve Trynka  is applauded for his experience in corporate matters involving the food industry with  clients praising him for his "direct and mature approach". 

The directory goes on to say that "With offices in Hull and York this "solid and reliable" firm has continued to advise clients on sizeable transactions including the acquisition of Hull City FC …"

Neil Franklin was recommended for his work in the agricultural sector and is considered to be "great with detail."  Chambers highlights that Rollits' five-strong agricultural team is known for "providing solutions to the queries clients have. They really have the bases covered."

Employment lawyer Ed Jenneson is singled out as an "Associate to watch". The directory says that he has a"keen appreciation of the business environment, good advocacy skills and is knowledgeable on employment."

The directory also praises the employment team for its "professionalism and personal service." and notes that Clients value the team's "expertise, its understanding of business and its pragmatism."

Top rankings were also given to Keith Benton for his work in Information Technology as well as Douglas Oliver for Social Housing.

Within the Social Housing category, Rollits is the only firm in the York, Hull and surrounding areas to be recommended as a leading law firm.

Elsewhere in the guide, the firm was ranked top in the region in the fields of Banking and Finance, Corporate & M&A, Dispute Resolution and Real Estate, as well as receiving praise for its Agriculture, Employment and Private Client work undertaken.
