Twelve lawyers from local lawfirm Rollits will be pushing their pedal power to the limit toraise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support this weekend.

The bike ride, which is set totake place on 26th and 27th September, will see the enthusiasticcyclists peddle their way from Bowness on Solway to Tynemouthriding along the Hadrian's Wall Cycleway. Part of the gruelling 101mile route will take in the steepest built cycle path inEngland.

The team taking part is madeup of Chris Crystal, who organised the event, David Myers, DavidHextall, Neil Franklin, Tom Milner, Keith Benton, Ed Heppel, JulianWild, David White, Nasim Sharf and Sam East, with Mark Dixondriving the support vehicle alongside the cyclists.

Chris Crystal said: "We areall excited about doing this route and we intend to thoroughlyenjoy it. Whilst our colleagues back at the office will be enjoyingcoffee and cakes as part of Macmillan's big coffee morning onFriday, we will be pushing ourselves to reach our stop-over nearHaltwhistle on Friday night!

"We have received fantasticsupport and encouragement from our colleagues, friends and familyand we hope to raise as much cash as we can forMacmillan."

The team have set up a webpage at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/RollitsCTC where members of the publiccan log their support and help with the fund raisingefforts.

Chris added: "Macmillan Cancer Support is a very worthwhilecharity so we hope people will really get behind us and support ourefforts."
