Rollits Launch iPhone App with help from Bear Hands Studio

Rollits has just launched an innovative iPhone App with the help of two graduates of Hull College, Claire Anthony and Steve Conlan.

Free to download from the iTunes store, the main features of the app include a "Contact Us" section giving direct access to partners email and telephone numbers and a "How to Find Us" button with directions to the firm`s Hull and York Offices.

Claire and Steve graduated from Hull College in July 2011 and formed their own company Bear Hands Studio, which specialises in creating commercial iPhone and iPad applications, with help from the Net315 project. They are also currently working on an iPad game for children, which is due to be released in the summer.

Net315 provides college students and members of the community with the opportunity to make their business ideas a reality, by taking advantage of the unique business environment offered by the Enterprise Gateway on site at the College.

The project offers support, information and guidance to assist with starting a business and becoming self-employed. Together with the running of enterprise activities, Hull College offers physical space for students to attend workshops, hot desk and run their business. Specialist partners (including Rollits) offer mentoring services, workshops, virtual networking and enterprise related events and programmes running within and outside of the college network.
The overall aim of the project is to increase the number of successful, sustainable and growing businesses in Yorkshire and the Humber.

Speaking about the launch of the new App, Pat Coyle, Client Relations Director at Rollits LLP comments:

"We understand that the way in which people want to contact us is changing. It is important that clients are able to get in touch with us whenever they need to and this app provides fast, on-the-go access to our Partners at the touch of a button.

"It also allows users to view parking information and directions for both the Hull and York sites as well as the facility to ask brief questions in the Q&A section.

"Rollits has been proud to play a small part in helping Claire and Steve develop and learn new skills whilst working on a real live project brief, which will be invaluable to their business going forward."

Claire Anthony of Bear Hands Studio says:

"Working with Rollits has been such a great learning experience for us. This project has helped us to develop our business skills and we are proud to have worked with such a reputable law firm. We are very excited about the launch of the application and hope that it will be a useful tool for Rollits and their clients.

"We would like to thank both Rollits and Net315 for their guidance through this project and for giving us the confidence to continue towards our goal of running a successful business."

Alastair Brooks, PM & Lead Enterprise Mentor of Hull College ERDF Project Team commented:

"This experience has been of such huge benefit to Claire and Steve, having the opportunity to undertake a corporate assignment straight from their degree has taught them so many valuable lessons. Despite the significance of the final product to Rollits, they have been patient, understanding and provided a guiding hand in order to make this a genuinely developmental commercial experience and having the chance to work so closely with an industry expert like Pat Coyle has been tremendous.

"Rollits backing of the Net315 project and the Hull College Enterprise Gateway continues to make our offer to the Students unique in its level of dedicated professional support. I can see great things ahead for Bear Hands Studio and look forward to continuing to work with them as they establish their position in the market place."
