Rollits help Cooplands save jobs
We are pleased to have advised Coopland & Son
(Scarborough) Limited, the Scarborough-based bakery business, on
its acquisition of 22 shops, a fleet of around 10 retail vans and a
50,000 sq. ft bakery in County Durham from the administrators of
Peters Cathedral Bakers Limited.
The deal sees Cooplands continue its expansion drive by
increasing its store count to over 130 shops, in addition to its 11
cafes, located in and around Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and
The deal saves 208 jobs.
Paul Coopland, Managing Director of Cooplands, will now lead
the rebranding of the Peters` business. He said:
