Rollits Gives Artist John Creighton the Space to Showcase his work
Rollits is supporting cultureand the arts for the second year running by hosting a four-monthexhibition at its Rowntree Wharf offices by artist JohnCreighton.
The exhibition will open in York on12th November 2014 andrun until March 2015.
John Lane, Partner at Rollitssaid: "At Rollits we actively seek to support culture and the artsand following on from the success of Nichole Dean's debutexhibition at our offices last year, we are making a large area ofour York premises available to John this winter to host anexhibition of his paintings and drawings
"Art can be appreciatedabsolutely anywhere - even in a law firm - and I'm certain that byshowcasing the work of an extremely talented artist we willgenerate a great deal of new interest in his work."
Creighton is an establishedartist living and working in Ryedale with recentexhibitions showing in The Mercer Gallery Harrogate, and TheCrescent, in Scarborough, The City Art Gallery Doncaster, andThe Python Gallery in Middlesbrough.
In his new exhibition,Creighton will showcase key works from the period 2007 -2014 revealing a wide range of interests fromdisquieting images with a surreal flavour to highly contemplativepieces based on church interiors. A recent series of 20 silk screenprints explore an intimate language of abstract invention whichdevelop mysterious and fascinating worlds.
The exhibition opens with aprivate viewing on 12th November at the firm's offices in RowntreeWharf in York. Following the launch, Rollits offices will beopen for public viewings on dates yet to beadvised.
