New Partners at Rollits

We have recognised the abilities of two of our Associates, Ed Jenneson and Gerry Morrison, by promoting them to Partner, bringing the total number of partners within the firm to 21.

Ed and Gerry have been with Rollits since 2002, when they began their careers as trainees at Rollits and they qualified together in 2004.

Ed moved into the employment team when he qualified. In order to gain some commercial experience, in 2009 Ed spent 10 months working in-house at Northern Foods plc as part of their employment team where he was providing legal assistance to HR Managers on how to manage their 12,000 employees.  Ed deals with all aspects of employment law with a particular interest in TUPE and works closely with the firm's corporate team when dealing with business sales and acquisitions. Ed is also experienced in advising on high value matters such as large collective consultations which involve hundreds of employees and regularly acts as an advocate in the Employment Tribunal for clients.

Gerry heads the charities and social enterprise team and specialises exclusively in charity law.  She advises charities in relation to compliance with the Charities Acts and all aspects of charity legislation, including creating and registering new charities, re-structuring and re-organising charities, charity incorporations and mergers.  She advises  charity trustees on governance and regulatory issues on a daily basis and regularly liaises with the Charity Commission on a variety of issues. Gerry is a regular contributor to the New Law Journal Charities and Appeals Supplement in relation to a wide variety of issues impacting upon charities.

Rollits Managing Partner Richard Field said:

"We are delighted to welcome Ed and Gerry to partnership.  Both of them work extremely hard and thoroughly deserve their promotions.  We encourage and require continual development and training throughout Rollits, so it is very pleasing to see these talented individuals who have a depth of knowledge and experience in their respective areas of expertise progressing in the firm."
