Macmillan Charity Race Day at York Racecourse - Saturday, 13 June
Volunteers at last year's Macmillan Race Day
This Saturday, (13 June) a
team of volunteers from Rollits will give up their time to help
with fundraising at the Macmillan Race Day at York
The team will be at the
racecourse all day to help Macmillan's "Volunteer Army" raise
hundreds of thousands of pounds for the charity.
The Macmillan Race Day at York
Racecourse is the charity's single biggest fundraising event in
this region, and has now raised almost £6 million to ensure that no
one should have to face cancer alone.
Last year the sum raised in
one day exceeded £340,000.
Macmillan Cancer Support was
founded in 1911 by Douglas Macmillan and is a registered
charity. They provide practical, medical and financial
support and push for better cancer care for all those diagnosed
with the disease.
This year there's a new way to
get involved. Macmillan supporters both at the races and at home
will have the chance to bid on-line for some amazing auction lots
up to and including Raceday. Prizes include a golf break to
Marbella, diamond jewellery, sports memorabilia and custom guitars
with more VIP experiences and prizes to be added closer to Raceday.

Partner John Lane said "We
were delighted to be given the opportunity to help Macmillan with
their fundraising activities at the Macmillan Race Day in York
again this year."
"I am personally very grateful
to my colleagues for giving up their time on Saturday to help raise
funds for this magnificent charity."
