Former Hull College student Holly wins Student of the Year at Awards ceremony
23 year old Holly Joyce, who
studied Business Administration and IT NVQ Level 3 at Hull College,
was named "Student of the Year" at an Awards ceremony at the
College last week.
Holly, who joined the firm as
an Office Assistant at the end of April having completed her NVQ
Level 3 early, settled in to her new role at Rollits and the
training and qualifications she got from Hull College assisted her
greatly with the transition to full-time employment.
Holly says "Winning 'Student
of the Year' is such a brilliant achievement, it really shows that
when you put the hard work in and are determined to succeed you
really do shine through! There are a lot of students within the
college and to know that I have been picked and acknowledged is
amazing, it's such a great feeling!!
"I worked extremely hard on my
assignments and work at college and organised many fund raising
activities as well as helping out with events such as Hull
Bondholders, Hull College Events and the Yorkshire Passion
And to top off her
achievements at the Awards, earlier the same day Holly also
discovered that she had been successful following her interview for
a new legal secretary position in the firm's Company and Commercial
Holly continues "I am hoping
my new role at Rollits will help me gain even more skills and
experience, and I am looking forward to the challenges and learning
experience ahead of me."
Office Manager Linda Cook
comments "Holly started out with us as a General Office Assistant
and very quickly demonstrated that she has great potential.
We are hoping that as the newest member of our Legal Secretarial
Team Holly will gain valuable experience in a role that demands a
high degree of accuracy whilst at the same time bringing fresh
ideas to help fulfil our desire to continuously look at how we can
do things better.
"In winning the Award and
coincidentally being promoted on the same day Holly is a shining
example of how hard work and dedication really do pay
