TUPE - Micro Businesses Able to Inform and Consult with Employees Directly

With effect from the 31 July 2014 an amendment to the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 now provides that employers with fewer than 10 employees may directly consult affected employees in relation to a TUPE transfer in cases where there are no existing, appropriate representatives and the employer has not invited any affected employees to elect representatives.
