New arrangement for reporting of injuries and incidences
From 12 September 2011 the Health & Safety Executive
have confirmed that reportable injuries and incidents will be
indicated to them via a predominantly on-line
Seven forms will be available to make the statutory reporting
process quick and easy. It will still be possible to report by
telephone fatal and major incidents and injuries. The new forms
will be those for reporting an injury, reporting a dangerous
occurrence and reporting a case of disease and other more specific
It is of course a statutory requirement that those injuries
and incidents which fall within the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases
and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 have to be reported. It
is not optional!
