Changes to Flexible Working
As of 30 June 2014 the right
to request flexible working will extend to all employees with at
least 26 weeks' continuous employment.
The statutory procedure for
dealing with applications for flexible working and with which most
Practioners are familiar will be replaced by a duty upon employers
to deal with a request reasonably. ACAS will publish a
statutory Code of Practice to give guidance in due
