1 February 2011 – Increase in `a week`s pay` and unfair dismissal compensation

With effect from 1 February 2011 the maximum amount of `aweek`s pay` for calculating statutory redundancy payments will risefrom £380 to £400. This means employees can now receive up to£12,000 statutory redundancy pay.

There will also be an increase in the maximum compensatoryaward for unfair dismissal which will rise from £65,300 to£68,400.
