What, why, how?
180 Years In Business
From serving clients through wars, catastrophes and pandemics, we have now reached a new milestone as we celebrate 180 years in business.
As we look back on the past 180 years and remember the significance of John Rollit’s legacy on 9 June 1841, we are not only looking back, but thinking forward. As the progressive, fast moving law firm that we are proud to be today, it’s important to us that we continue to focus on the future of Rollits and what we can offer.
Empowering our people
What 180 means to us?
Our people are our family. For the past 180 years, they have been the foundation of who we are and everything we do, without whom we would not be where we are today. Their years of experience brings knowledge and insight to the firm, offering a first class level of service to our clients.
Looking forward, it is our key focus to continue to recruit, nurture and retain the region's very best talent, developing a diverse and dynamic team to lead us through the next phase of our development.
Our commitment to you
What 180 means to our Clients
We are not just a provider, we are your partner. Our dedication to trust, clarity and focus, our non-jargon approach, and our client centred values make us stand out from the crowd.
As we look back and think forward, we will embed 180 years of experience within the new digital age in order to evolve, improve and redefine our services, as we embrace new technologies and invest in industry leading systems, processes and people.
Looking back, thinking forward
Envisioning our future
Back in 1841, John Rollit was admitted as a solicitor and taken into partnership by local solicitor, William Dryden, in a firm that became Dryden Sons and Rollit.
Fast forward 180 years and having a consistent vision provides a sense of purpose and direction for where we’re going as a law firm. It helps us define our goals and gives us the power and hunger to be the best we can be. Sustainability and looking to the future is important to all of us at Rollits, and it’s important that we bring this to life through the work we do and the values that we have, as one of Yorkshire’s leading law firms.
