Elspeth is a planning and environmental lawyer with a background in environmental consulting. She worked in Brussels and in London, before undertaking a pupillage with 1 Crown Office Row. She subsequently returned to the North East to work for Eversheds LLP in Newcastle. Elspeth’s current role focuses on all aspects of the planning system from applications and environmental impact assessments through to appeals.

A particular area of interest is the overlap between the planning and environmental law regimes and their evolution following our departure from the EU.
