Holly deals with the day to day running of the firm’s family mediation service and also assists her family law colleagues with a variety of family law related tasks.
The complexity of family law and the extensive variation in the work that comes across her desk on a day to day basis, mixed with elements of compassion and empathy required when dealing with clients is the reason she enjoys the role so much.
A law graduate from the University of Hull and the University of Law in Leeds Holly first experience of a legal career came from shadowing a solicitor in the police stations where she followed cases from the point of arrest to the courts and finally sentencing, sparking her interest and initial understanding of the criminal justice system.
Following her LPC she joined Rollits as a Family Law Assistant and Mediation Administrator where she has gained much experience in family law, Court settings and Hearings as well as running the day to day operations of mediation.
Holly is the first point of contact for all mediation issues and deals with mediation enquiries from the public, lawyers and the Court. She liaises with the LSC on contract matters and her role involves arranging client appointments, undertaking the initial willingness test with clients and preparation of correspondence in relation to MIAM meetings.
Her responsibilities also include liaising with new clients, the courts and the other side’s solicitors as well as sitting behind counsel during hearings and general family law related responsibilities.
